About The Position

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is seeking to hire a candidate for our Operations Analyst I (5204) Administration & Analysis position. This role is responsible for performing entry-level administrative, data analysis, and financial assignments for the Operations Division. The position will involve collaboration with other analysts and may include some oversight of co-op students and interns. SEPTA is a large transportation system serving a wide region and is recognized for its innovation and community impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data analytics, finance, or related field.
  • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess basic understanding of data visualization tools including but not limited to Power BI.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and monitors weekly and monthly reports, both financial and statistical.
  • Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Visualizes data with charts, graphs, infographics, and/or basic dashboards.
  • Establishes basic key-performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of business decisions and service delivery.
  • Processes information in conjunction with other Operations analysts.
  • Drafts presentations for senior staff members.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contributes to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinates project activities and communicates updates to stakeholders.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of training programs for staff members.
  • Performs other duties as required.
