Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA designation.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate in the future.
  • Experience with integrated ERP accounting systems including SAP, PAx, Business Warehouse (BW).

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing locations as needed for monthly close and other reports.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and participate in quarterly account analysis of balance sheet activities.
  • Ensure the financial reporting and accounting processes are timely, accurate, and responsive to management needs.
  • Interpret, apply, and maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting standards, internal controls, and established financial policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Assess the accuracy and reliability of accounting data, evaluate the effectiveness of existing accounting procedures and controls, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop, recommend and implement accounting practices to promote consistency, best practices, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide support for the SAP material ledger accounting system during the monthly close activities.
  • Perform a variety of monthly reporting responsibilities and assist the supervisor with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis.
