About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as an Operations Administrator based in Virden, Manitoba. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position. P&H is a family-owned and managed agri-business with over 115 years of history, operating across grain merchandising, flour milling, crop input distribution, and animal feed production with over 80 locations across Canada and global trade links. The Operations Administrator will facilitate the overall operation of the facility’s office through daily administrative tasks and will be the first point of contact for producer/customer calls, redirecting inquiries as needed.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in business administration, agriculture or equivalent experience in an administrative or similar role
Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work some weekends and overtime hours as required
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools

Nice To Haves

Knowledge or experience in the agricultural industry is an asset

Responsibilities

Perform general administrative tasks to support office operations
Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and at the reception desk
Maintain filing for all documentation per auditing standards
Assist with safety/HACCP documentation
Assist with operational duties including but not limited to movement and sampling of grain, monitoring grain quality shipment and other processes involved in the operations of the grain facility
Other duties as assigned
