Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing accounting, inventory accounting, operations accounting, or cost accounting environments
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reconciliation modeling
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance and operational teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Validate and process metal receipts while resolving pricing discrepancies, non-receipts, and purchase order variances
  • Partner with vendors and plants to resolve Advance Shipping Notification (ASN) issues
  • Support communication and issue resolution related to supplier payments and procurement discrepancies
  • Prepare and analyze metal price variances and customer pass-through reporting
  • Complete monthly journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis
  • Review and investigate freight invoices and related discrepancies
  • Process mill and vendor claims and support monthly executive reporting
  • Maintain and revise standard costs for steel coils and support ongoing cost accounting initiatives
  • Reconcile utility invoices and distribute findings to plant leadership teams
  • Support ad hoc analysis, process improvements, and cross-functional accounting projects
