About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific's internship program is designed to cultivate future leadership talent. Interns who excel in performance, demonstrate leadership potential, and align with company values may be considered for full-time roles post-graduation, including potential placement into Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) or other early career positions. As a global organization with diverse business units, functions, and locations, interns must be geographically flexible and mobile for both their internship assignment and future employment. Placement into internship, LDP, or full-time roles depends on business needs and organizational priorities at the time of selection. Internship projects are strategically important to the business and may involve supporting day-to-day operational readiness, ensuring necessary materials, documentation, equipment, and processes are in place for job execution. Interns will partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve readiness gaps, constraints, and risks. They will also track operational readiness activities, actions, and KPIs to provide visibility into workload, status, and areas needing attention. Additionally, interns will support the Operational Excellence / PPI team in identifying recurring readiness issues, conducting root cause analysis, developing standard work, and implementing improvements for operational reliability and efficiency. Support will also be provided for readiness of new or changing processes, products, systems, and operational initiatives, including coordination of actions, documentation, and implementation.
