This role is responsible for defining and developing project scope, deliverables, and plans to align with project objectives in support of Ambulatory Care initiatives. The project manager will manage the entire project lifecycle from concept to post-implementation, controlling resources, costs, risks, conflicts, and timelines. This position requires strong critical-thinking skills, minimal supervision, and the ability to anticipate obstacles and drive favorable outcomes. The role involves leading, supporting, and influencing discussions to achieve project goals and represent change-management efforts. Collaboration with all organizational stakeholders, including leaders and potentially external customers, is essential for facilitating quality patient care, operational effectiveness, and process improvements. The project manager will also manage project team members, mentor junior staff, and be responsible for project outcomes. Duties may include defining, developing, and improving clinical, operational, and performance workflows and standards within Ambulatory Care, maintaining patient information in the electronic medical record, and adhering to organizational and HIPAA guidelines. The role supports hospital and departmental performance improvement goals, quality care through compliance, departmental initiatives, and financial/resource stewardship. Strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to organizational core values are expected.
