About The Position

The Operational Program Director (OPD) leads and coordinates programs serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or autism. The role combines direct care with supervisory and program leadership duties and is based in the Washington/Ramsey County, Minnesota area. This is a full-time organizational position, though hours within any given home may be part-time. The schedule must be flexible to accommodate program, individual, and staff needs. The OPD is on call at all times unless someone with comparable authority has been arranged to receive emergency calls. OPDs ensure direct-service shifts are covered by staff who meet employment conditions and have been adequately oriented and trained. They may occasionally work direct-service shifts, normally no more than 16 hours per week; working more requires notifying a supervisor in advance when possible. The position may involve personal care, lifting and transferring, and transporting people served in the community. Dungarvin is a mission-driven provider of person-centered support services for people with disabilities. The organization operates across fifteen states and works through Medicaid and Community Support Waivers to support individuals’ goals, values, and aspirations.
