About The Position
The Operational Excellence Manager implements and manages OBE’s Operational Excellence system to help site teams achieve zero harm, improve quality, reduce waste, and maximize process and equipment performance. This role develops site OpEx strategies, initiatives, activities, coaching, and training materials, and identifies process-improvement opportunities in collaboration with Front Line Leaders. The manager also oversees and develops quality initiatives and metrics with operations to promote industry-leading best practices.
Requirements
- Practical experience leading kaizen events, including teaching, coaching, and implementing operational excellence tools.
- Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics flows.
- Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work, and layered audits.
- Ability to influence teams and build buy-in through collaboration and development.
- Strong understanding of Lean tools, including 6S, Kanban, Ishikawa, A3, 5-Why, MTTR, MTBF, Poka-yoke, JIT, and value-stream mapping.
