Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in warehouse operations, production, labeling, and/or packaging preferred.
  • Proficient computer applications and systems.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules to plan and set up Mixing Schedules, ensuring freezer locations are stocked with core blends.
  • Check the daily shipping schedule for incoming deliveries.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments from external warehouses based on production needs.
  • Track inventory levels at outside warehouses.
  • Monitor corrugate inventory and generate purchase orders as needed.
  • Monitor supply inventory and initiate purchase orders when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Frozen Warehouse Supervisor to ensure product is stored in the correct freezer to meet production requirements.
  • Enter "New Pack" data (June through November) into spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate transfers and releases with external processing plants.
  • Provide backup support for Frozen Production Scheduler and Frozen Clerical/STO Specialist.
  • Work with Quality Department to manage the release of purchased product.
  • Communicate with Corporate Buyer regarding low inventory levels of purchased items.
  • Communicate with various customers to manage incoming orders and report any shortages.
  • Assist with year-end inventory cycle counts.
  • Partner closely with Frozen Production Scheduler to ensure adequate product and corrugate for order demands.
  • Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
