As an ORT in the Surgery Department, you’ll support nurses and surgical teams before, during, and after procedures. You’ll assist with patient positioning, room setup, equipment preparation, supply management, and provide compassionate care, including support for patients nearing the end of life. Your attention to detail and steady presence help ensure safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care. Working in Surgery gives you hands-on experience with a wide range of procedures — including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, endovascular, urological, colorectal, vascular, bariatric, robotic, laser, and general surgeries, as well as Level II trauma care. You’ll strengthen skills in sterile technique, equipment handling, patient preparation, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team.
