About The Position

Under direction of the Central Service Director, Operating Room (OR) Supply Coordinator manages the procurement, inventory and distribution of all surgical supplies and equipment. Key duties include tracking inventory, ordering necessary items, receiving deliveries, maintaining par levels, and ensures all equipment is in good repair to support surgical teams and stay within budget. There are responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing supply-related costs, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of all surgical supplies, implants, and equipment to ensure availability for scheduled procedures.
• Monthly cycle counting schedule.
• Place purchase requisitions for supplies, coordinate with vendors, and receive and verify incoming deliveries.
• Distribute supplies to designated areas, such as OR supply areas, surgical suites, and assist with supply management in other areas like anesthesia.
• Track supply usage, expiration dates, adjustments, lost charges, and costs; maintain accurate inventory records and use of control systems.
• Work with surgical staff to forecast needs and resolve supply-related issues.
• Ensure all supply handling and storage practices comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. To include recalls.
• Assist with managing supply budgets and tracking patient charges.
• Manage product recalls and other special requests from clinical staff.
• Provide support functions to supply chain as requested by leadership.
