About The Position
We’re hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) to join a high-performing Surgical Services team in Kansas City, KS. This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced operating room environment and is committed to delivering exceptional surgical patient care.
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license (or compact)
- 1+ year of OR / perioperative nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and patient safety
- BLS required
Nice To Haves
- ACLS preferred
- CNOR a plus
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care in the Operating Room (OR) as a circulating and/or scrub nurse
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to AORN standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs during procedures
- Monitor patient status and ensure safety throughout the perioperative process
- Complete accurate EMR documentation and support post-op transitions
