Requirements

• Active Florida RN or APRN license
• Minimum of one year of recent OR experience required
• BLS and ALS certifications through AHA or American Red Cross
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and quality care
• This position requires background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law (Section 435.12).

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist with surgical procedures while delivering high-quality patient care in the OR
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and patients to support efficient surgical flow
• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate perioperative nursing care throughout procedures
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with patient-specific needs
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient care and surgical activity
• Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately using sound clinical judgment
• Support onboarding and development of new team members, students, and staff
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education, trainings, and policy updates
• Participate in quality initiatives, shared governance, and departmental committees
• Foster clear and professional communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in required on-call rotation coverage as needed
