About The Position

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse for its Day Surgery Center. The nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and professional communication to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday schedule of either 0700–1530 or 0900–1730 and a call requirement. The hospital is a 645-bed nonprofit teaching hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, with a Level I trauma center. The job description notes that duties may include other related responsibilities.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of perioperative nursing experience in the operating room.
• Time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new things and adaptability to change.
