About The Position

The Staff Nurse provides care for patients in the Operating Room and works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment. Nursing at Brigham and Women’s Hospital emphasizes excellent clinical practice and keeping patients and their families at the center of care. Call team assignments are based on skill set and departmental needs; additional training may be required. The position is onsite at 75 Francis Street, with 36 scheduled hours per week on the evening shift and an every-other-weekend rotation, including Saturday and Sunday call.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current registration in Massachusetts.
• Newly licensed nurses must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• At least 3 years of Operating Room experience.
• Able to work the weekend rotation per the MNA contract.

• Charge experience preferred.
• Membership in professional organizations is recommended.
• Certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
