Operating Room Nurse
About The Position
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients. This position provides intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique. The RN collaborates with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures. This position is open to candidates seeking training through the AORN Periop 101 program with a July 2026 start date. Comprehensive onboarding and education will be provided to support a successful transition into the intraoperative nursing environment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.
Nice To Haves
- Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
- Familiarity with AORN standards.

Benefits
- Specialty pay is available exclusively to experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
- RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
