About The Position
USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join their team. The center has 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms and performs outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology. The candidate will be available Monday-Friday, with a schedule subject to change based on the surgical schedule and flow of the day. Early mornings and later evenings are required. This position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call, but some later evenings are required. The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for nursing activities related to patient care during operative or other invasive procedures. The scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery. Patients cared for range from 1 month old through adolescence, as well as adult patients including older adults through geriatrics.
Requirements

- Available for some early mornings and later evenings
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.
- Care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence.
- Perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
