About The Position
The Registered Nurse Circulator provides nursing care and service during surgical cases at St. Thomas Surgery Center – Midtown. The Circulating RN is responsible for positioning and prepping patients and circulating cases. The position requires experience with surgical procedures in Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active Tennessee RN license.
- CPR certification required.
- Advanced life support certification required.
- One year of experience in an intra-operative setting required.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and service during surgical cases.
- Position patients for surgery.
- Prepare patients for surgery.
- Circulate surgical cases.
