Operating Room Attendant
About The Position
This role operates within a surgical unit comprising ten operating rooms and a separate Cystoscopy Room. The unit features a new state-of-the-art hybrid room and is undergoing renovation for the remaining ORs. The team supports various service lines including General, GYN, Urology, Neuro, and specializes in Orthopedics. Grosse Pointe Hospital is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and is a Magnet-designated facility known for exceptional nursing and advanced care services. It houses The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge hybrid surgical unit, and the Baby Friendly-designated Cotton Family Birth Center.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience is Preferred
Responsibilities
- Turnover the OR room
- Wipe all the equipment down in the OR room
- Mop the floors
- Restock supplies and housekeeping carts
- Pick up patient beds for the surgeries of the day
- Makes runs to the Lab and Blood Bank when requested by the OR room
- Provide the highest quality of service delivered efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as outline in our standards 100% of the time.
