Operating Room Attendant
About The Position
This role operates within a surgical unit comprising ten operating rooms and a separate Cystoscopy Room. The unit features a state-of-the-art hybrid room and is currently undergoing renovation. It supports various service lines including General, GYN, Urology, Neuro, and specializes in Orthopedics. Grosse Pointe Hospital is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and is a Magnet-designated facility known for exceptional nursing and advanced care. It houses The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge hybrid surgical unit, and the Cotton Family Birth Center, which has received the Baby Friendly designation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience is Preferred
Responsibilities
- Turnover the OR room
- Wipe all the equipment down in the OR room
- Mop the floors
- Restock supplies and housekeeping carts
- Pick up patient beds for the surgeries of the day
- Makes runs to the Lab and Blood Bank when requested by the OR room
- Provide the highest quality of service delivered efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as outline in our standards 100% of the time.
