Operating Room Attendant
About The Position
This role operates within a surgical unit comprising ten operating rooms and a separate Cystoscopy Room. The unit supports various service lines including General, GYN, Urology, Neuro, and specializes in Orthopedics. The facility is a Magnet-designated institution recognized by U.S. News & World Report, offering advanced care and featuring The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge hybrid surgical unit. The Cotton Family Birth Center has also received the Baby Friendly designation. The position involves rotating shifts of 8 and 12 hours, with on-call duties on weekends and during the week. The unit is equipped with a new state-of-the-art hybrid room and is undergoing renovation for the remaining ORs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year prior OR assistant experience is Preferred
Responsibilities
- Turnover the OR room
- Wipe all the equipment down in the OR room
- Mop the floors
- Restock supplies and housekeeping carts
- Pick up patient beds for the surgeries of the day
- Makes runs to the Lab and Blood Bank when requested by the OR room
- Provide the highest quality of service delivered efficiently, effectively, and compassionately as outline in our standards 100% of the time.
