About The Position
As an OR Assistant, your exceptional organization and collaboration abilities assist in the operational success of the unit and patient outcomes. This is a full-time position working days with 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of patient care and/or operating room experience in an accredited hospital preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile areas; responsible for cleanliness and safety of environment for all those within it; transport specimens, cultures and medications within the hospital
- Work with team to provide smooth workflow in peri-operative setting; work as a team to accomplish room turnover
- Assist in the transporting and positioning of patients as directed
