About The Position

Under supervision, the Operating Room Assistant II provides general support to Nursing staff in the Operating Room. Activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard-free, clean environment that facilitates patient-focused care. OR Assistants handle equipment and supplies, clean and decontaminate Operating Rooms and equipment, transport patients, and operate and perform routine maintenance on a variety of technical equipment used in the operating room. Assists with providing patient care in the Operating Room under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Lead OR assist. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months Internal OR Assistant I candidates: Operating Room Assistant experience with completion of Operating Room Assistant competency program.
• 1 year External candidates: Experience as Operating Room Assistant or equivalent in a hospital based operating room.

Nice To Haves

• Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
