Operating Engineer
About The Position
The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on-site. The Operating Engineer will complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements). They will also maintain the work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests, perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks, support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable), and troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls. The role requires compliance with all safety procedures and participation in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs. Other projects and tasks will be assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
- Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance).
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
