About The Position

The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This role is part of the Local 94 Collective Bargaining Agreement and requires on-site presence. The schedule for this position is 3pm to 11:00 pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

Requirements

3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree required
Universal CFC EPA certification
Certificate of Fitness Q-01/Q-99 (Refrigerating System Operating Engineer), A-35 (Operate and Maintain Air Compressors), P-98 (Fuel Oil Piping and Storage System), and S-12, S-13, S-14 (Sprinkler and Standpipe Systems)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet tall
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive
Strong customer service and communication skills
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests
Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
Comply with all safety procedures
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Other projects and tasks to be assigned
