About The Position

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat OpenShift on VMs, bare metal, and ROSA
- Experience with OpenShift v4.15+ and associated ecosystem tools (Data Foundation, Platform Plus)
- Solid knowledge of Ceph storage administration
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud environments
- Expertise in Linux Containers (Docker) and Kubernetes, including deployment of microservices architectures
- Experience migrating and refactoring legacy apps for containerized environments
- Familiarity with application stacks including Java, JBoss, nginx, and Node.js
- Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Bash, etc.)
- Hands-on with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Chef, or similar
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and deployment pipelines
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (firewalls, protocols, load balancers)
- Experience with VMware (vCenter, vRA, vRO)
- Background in bare metal OpenShift deployments
- Knowledge of SSL certificate management
- Experience working within Agile environments (Kanban, sprints, stand-ups)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Dynatrace, QRadar)
- Ability to stay current on emerging technologies and container platform trends
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written – especially when conveying complex technical topics
- Willingness to document, share knowledge, and mentor team members
Responsibilities
- Engineer and support enterprise-grade OpenShift platforms across multiple environments
- Lead efforts to migrate applications to containerized and cloud-native platforms
- Implement automated infrastructure deployments and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate across development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure stability and scalability of the platform
- Ensure platform health through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Drive best practices in DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Maintain detailed documentation and support onboarding and training efforts for team members
- Contribute to strategic decisions around container orchestration, cloud architecture, and platform enhancements
