About The Position

The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University is seeking a full-time faculty member for its MS in Organizational Leadership and Corporate and Organizational Communication degree programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and significant industry experience as a practitioner in organizational leadership, corporate strategy, or organizational communication. This is an open rank, non-tenure track, renewable appointment located in Boston, MA, focused on contributing to innovative programs in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, communication, and community engagement.

Requirements

Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Studies, Communication, Management or a closely related discipline by appointment start date or later.
Evidence demonstrating a history of professional practice and engagement in the field.
Substantial industry experience in organizational leadership, corporate communication, or community-focused organizational practice, preferably at a senior or executive level, with demonstrated ability to apply professional experience to teaching and learning.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Experience in online or hybrid teaching modalities.
Experience with industry partnerships, consulting, or collaborations.
Must be prepared to work with global student populations.
Must have a curriculum vita, cover letter, and teaching statement.
Must provide names and contact information for at least three professional references.

Responsibilities

Teach a variety of graduate courses in MS in Organizational Leadership and/or Corporate and Organizational Communication degree programs.
Engage in curriculum development, program assessment, and the integration of emerging trends and practices into the academic offerings.
Mentor and advise students, guiding them in their academic and professional development.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry partners.
Serve on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University.
Promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge through scholarship, research, creative activity, and professional development.
Be available to students online and in person as needed.
Work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects.
