About The Position

The Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join our dynamic orthopedic and sports medicine team. This role offers a diverse clinical practice with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care across orthopedic clinic settings, concussion management, athletic medicine, and primary care sports medicine.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor with completion of an accredited Primary Care residency (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics) and fellowship training in Sports Medicine.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Sports Medicine.
• Eligible for state medical licensure and able to be credentialed with the MCOM physician group and all affiliated hospitals.
• Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate, or Full Professor.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in sports and family medicine, including evaluation and management of musculoskeletal injuries and concussions.
• Participate in resident didactic education and support undergraduate medical education initiatives in collaboration with department leadership.
• Opportunities to engage in athletic team coverage, including involvement with National Collegiate Athletic Association athletic programs.
• The primary focus of this role is to support the sports medicine clinical operation as assigned within department.
• As Assigned.
• Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.
• Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
• Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
• May represent the university, college/school, or department.
