About The Position

The College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis invites applications for a full-time General Dentist faculty position in the Department of Dental Hygiene. This is a non-tenure Open Rank Professor position. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Dental Hygiene.

Requirements

DDS or DMD or equivalent degree.
Eligibility for licensure as a General Dentist in the State of Tennessee.

Responsibilities

Providing didactic and clinical instruction to dental hygiene students.
Supervising and mentoring students during patient care, ensuring the highest standard of clinical practice and safety.
Participating in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Engaging in scholarly activities, including research, presentations, and publications as appropriate.
Participating in departmental, college, and university committees and meetings as assigned.
Contributing to community outreach, continuing education, and public service programs aligned with the department’s mission.
Maintaining compliance with all accreditation standards and state regulations relevant to dental hygiene education.
