About The Position

The faculty and staff of the University of New Mexico College of Nursing welcome you to a tradition of excellence in nursing research, education, and clinical practice. We are currently recruiting a faculty member for a graduate nursing faculty position. The primary focus is teaching conceptual content for Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or equivalent scope and Doctor of Nursing Practice courses. This is a full time 12-month appointment. The selected applicant must commit to living in Albuquerque metropolitan statistical area.
The incoming faculty will teach and maintain an active New Mexico APRN License and National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The combination of teaching and clinical experience is a fundamental component of our educational mission.

The University Of New Mexico College of Nursing, located in Albuquerque, NM, ranks in the top 15% of nursing programs in the country. With over 1,000 enrolled students, the college offers pre- and post-licensure baccalaureate, master’s, post-master’s, and doctoral programs. Requirements

• Doctoral degree in relevant discipline
• APRN practice experience
• Active APRN license at the time of hire
• Active FNP National Certification at the time of hire
• Must be eligible for licensure in New Mexico

Responsibilities

• classroom, online, and simulation/lab teaching
• mentoring, advising, and precepting students
• travel to perform site visits which may include rural locations
