About The Position

Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) is the clinical program of the Division of Substance Dependence, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. ARTS has provided empirically supported substance abuse treatment services in Colorado for over 50 years, with an emphasis on psychosocial and pharmacological treatments for adolescents, women, men, families, and those involved in the criminal justice system. It is the mission of ARTS to improve the quality of life and productivity of individuals and families affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders through the application of scientifically supported prevention, education, and treatment services. This position works under the direction of the ARTS Compliance and QA Program Manager and assists with internal auditing practices and review of ARTS policies for quality assurance and compliance purposes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
One (1) year of professional experience working in a compliance, quality control, project/change management, or directly related position within a behavioral health setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a substance use disorder treatment program.
Experience working in a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program and a general understanding of opioid treatment program rules and regulations.
Experience in managing or contributing to satisfying requirements relating to quality assurance, licensure, compliance, or certification for an agency, department, division, and/or work unit.

Responsibilities

Assist with the review and revision of ARTS policies periodically for quality assurance and compliance.
Ensure ARTS’s compliance to applicable University of Colorado and/or external requirements relating to its clinical licensure, provision of patient services, and/or agency accreditation.
Stay abreast of any rule changes by licensing and accrediting agencies.
Assist with new clinical staff onboarding processes, clinical staff training, and professional development activities.
Assist with scheduling of clinical training opportunities for ARTS staff members and maintain ARTS clinical training resources.
Prepare and submit training information to oversight agencies in adherence to established reporting requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
