About The Position

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Wash Bay Technician to join the Cortez District Open Pit Maintenance Team. The role supports daily fuel bay and wash bay activities, including fueling and light mechanical servicing of equipment, and washing equipment in preparation for preventive maintenance work. The technician contributes to equipment reliability, safe and efficient maintenance activities, good housekeeping, and effective collaboration among mobile maintenance and other work groups.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• A proven strong record of work safety and attendance.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Basic mechanic aptitude.
• Previous experience in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to operate various types of moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fuel bay and wash bay duties, including fueling and light mechanical servicing of equipment.
• Wash equipment in preparation for preventive maintenance work, maintaining a focus on safety.
• Support work management, equipment reliability, maintenance cost and performance management, and a team environment between mobile maintenance and other work groups.
• Maintain personal hand tools so they are functional and clean.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Establish work relationships needed to efficiently execute daily maintenance activities within the assigned zone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
