About The Position

Smurfit Westrock is hosting an Open Interview Day on Tuesday, October 27th, from 9 am to 2 pm at their facility located at 6131 W. 74th Street, Bedford Park, IL 60638. This event is for individuals seeking career opportunities in production, maintenance, or manufacturing. Candidates can meet directly with the hiring team, learn about current openings, and interview on-site. No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. Requirements

Strong communication and listening skills.
Ability to lift, push/pull >50lbs.
Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel for 8 or more hours.
Ability to work a standard 8-hour shift up to six days a week.
Flexibility to work overtime during the week to cover open positions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must be able to work daily or weekend overtime as required.
Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.

Responsibilities

Ability to work safely and comply with all safety rules.
Inspect, identify, and correct quality concerns.
Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" measurement, perform basic math, and possess some computer skills.
Ability to learn and apply job-related skills.
