About The Position

Foot Locker is holding open interviews for Material Handler and Equipment Operator positions on Thursday, October 29th, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at their distribution center located at 3543 Simpson Ferry Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. This is an opportunity to interview on the spot. Seasonal Material Handler positions are for 90 days with potential for conversion or extension based on business needs and performance. Requirements

• Must be 18 years and older to apply.

• Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours.
• Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
• Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly and 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
• Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
• Based on business necessity, associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, write, conduct business-related mathematics, and analyze data as required
• Basic proficiency in speaking and understanding English to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies
• 6+ months of previous experience in a warehouse facility preferred (Material Handler)
• 6+ months of previous relevant equipment operations experience (Equipment Operator)
• High School Diploma or GED

• This requires being taken up to 30 feet in the air on equipment

Responsibilities

• Accurately use and operate an RF scanning device
• Efficiently and accurately process orders by packing merchandise for shipment to stores and customers
• Unload merchandise for processing and load merchandise for shipment
• Process Return To Vendor, returned and liquidation items
• Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center, including order picker, swing reach truck, reach truck, and any other machines as needed
• Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift and at full capacity, including checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately
• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights and maneuver equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner
• Perform routine inspections and cleaning on assigned equipment and refer any defects or needed repairs to the supervisor or maintenance team

• Equipment Operator: $21.50 / hr
• 2nd Shift: $1.00 per hour worked
