About The Position

Hopper is seeking a contractor for Accounting Operations to manage the end-to-end monthly partner billing cycle and provide broader finance operations support for a 6-month engagement, with potential for extension. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role at the intersection of partner relationships, financial operations, and data integrity. It is ideal for individuals who thrive in process ownership and can independently manage a billing cycle.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, with a proven ability to manage recurring cycles independently.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite AR and billing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a deadline-driven monthly cycle without constant supervision.
  • Clear and professional written communication skills, as you will be a direct point of contact for external partners.
  • A methodical approach to reconciliation, comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies across multiple data sources.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery for independent data investigation before escalation.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology, marketplace, or travel company.
  • Knowledge of partner billing structures based on revenue share, commissions, or other variable models.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full monthly partner billing cycle, including gathering partner-specific data, generating reports using existing tools, and coordinating internal review and approval through to close.
  • Handle partner-facing communication, such as reviewing and sending billing emails, and responding to partner inquiries.
  • Analyze and investigate data discrepancies, resolve issues within your scope, and escalate pipeline problems with clear documentation.
  • Create, issue, and track partner invoices in NetSuite, match purchase orders to invoices, and confirm receipt and application of remittances.
  • Complete vendor and customer setup during new partner onboarding, collecting required documentation, tax forms, and banking details.
  • Support month-end close by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
  • Maintain process documentation and assist with external audit requests as needed.
  • Undertake ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as required.
