About The Position

This role is responsible for operating and controlling equipment safely according to established procedures. The operator will perform minor adjustments on machines, ensure product conformity to established standards for quality, and follow opening and closing procedures for equipment. For the evening shift, the operator will also complete production documentation, including line closure. The role involves identifying production problems or anomalies, assisting with and observing mechanical interventions to improve skills, and ensuring the display and removal of VQS at strategic posts. A key responsibility is ensuring all safety devices on the machine are functional and compliant by completing the required form. The operator must also maintain a clean, clear, and safe production area and apply lockout/tagout rules. Any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP environment, and sanitary and safety standards and regulations
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates good teamwork skills
  • Responsible and results-oriented
  • Good sense of initiative, priorities, and excellent judgment
  • Proven initiative
  • Must be able to communicate in French (mandatory)

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or additional certification in food production or manufacturing is an asset
