About The Position

Enviro Connexions, the Quebec division of Waste Connections of Canada, is an integrated solid waste services company providing solid waste collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services to local residents and businesses in Canada and the United States. This position is for a Heavy Machinery Operator (aide-opérateur) at the Terrebonne landfill site, involving various tasks related to waste management, heavy equipment operation, and site maintenance in a busy environment.

Requirements

DEP in heavy machinery operation (Diplôme d'études professionnelles)
An excellent driving record

Responsibilities

Work at the waste front: drive articulated trucks to build roads, transport daily cover and various materials on site
Drive water trucks and diesel refueling trucks
Perform maintenance on heavy equipment at the landfill site
Understand and follow site safety and operating procedures
Perform daily inspection and maintenance of heavy equipment
Perform daily tasks such as washing equipment, unrolling geotextile, shoveling equipment tracks, etc.
Work as part of a team
Work in a high-traffic environment with trucks and customers
Perform various other necessary tasks
