Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree or relevant work experience
  • 1-2 years media planning and buying experience
  • Understanding of media planning terms and concepts
  • Proficiency working within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hungry to advance knowledge of advertising, OOH and media principles through applied learning
  • Willing to take initiative, be an active participant in team discussions
  • An effective communicator who thinks strategically
  • A problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Contracting of approved plans and filing client signed authorizations.
  • Gathering and distributing production material specifications based on plan parameters.
  • Distributing traffic instructions/posting instructions to vendors and ensuring receipt.
  • Following up with vendors to confirm material arrival, timely campaign posting, and provision of POP photos.
  • Keeping the team updated on the status and timing of deliverables.
  • Collaborating with the team to identify and rectify data and/or billing discrepancies.
  • Maintaining a general understanding of account/client nuances.
  • Media planning including budget tracking, client decks, contracting, implementation, maintenance, and post-buy attribution review.
  • Compiling and preparing competitive data and target research for analysis to inform media strategy, recognizing patterns and trends.
  • Developing strong relationships with OOH vendors, the direct team, and other internal HMI departments.
  • Coordinating vendor meetings.
  • Using prior knowledge to guide Assistants through the planning process and assist with day-to-day account maintenance.
  • Managing ongoing communication with senior leads, effectively relaying issues and/or status updates in a timely manner.
  • Proactively staying abreast of OOH trends, vendor updates, and relevant offerings.
  • Advancing knowledge about the media industry, Horizon Media, and its clients.
  • Participating in Horizon’s training programs and other syndicated and proprietary training sessions.
