Onsite Wellness Coach
About The Position
The Onsite Wellness Coach will manage and coordinate all aspects of the Allan Myers wellness program to be implemented and delivered at multiple job sites throughout designated territory (PA/NJ). This role will skillfully manage each jobsite along with their unique schedule and needs. The Wellness Coach will develop a positive working rapport with each jobsite in order to best deliver onsite coaching. They will interact with, support, and work closely with Allan Myers employees, building relationships and assisting employees with various wellness goals and initiatives. The Wellness Coach must be adaptable to unique environments and willing to work on active construction sites in proper safety gear. Daily travel is required within designated territory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related health and wellness field
- Wellness coaching certification or 2-3 years job experience
- Optimum communication skills with ability to understand and empathize with employees
- Utilize motivational interviewing skills to provide wellness options to employees
- Enhanced use of account management skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent note taking skills
- Ability to handle stress and work under pressure at various types of construction jobsites
- Collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to attend early morning huddles and occasional night jobs
- Autonomous and able to manage time efficiently
Responsibilities
- Provide employees with general and program specific health education
- Attend, support and promote biometrics screenings
- Review and interpret employees’ medical history
- Outline behavior and lifestyle plans for employees and hold them accountable
- Assist employees in their understanding of their health conditions
- Support mental wellness of employees by having knowledge of available resources/benefits
- Deliver onsite blood pressure readings and conduct onsite body scan for body composition
- Coach employees on weight management
- Promote and educate employees on tobacco cessation
- Assess and strengthen employees’ awareness of all wellness offerings by Allan Myers (mental wellness, telemedicine services, EAP, etc.)
- Educate employees on any new developments and new technology regarding the wellness program
- Support the monthly targeted health topics through onsite coaching
- Support targeting outreach to high risk populations
- Record data and update notes in coaching platform following each coaching session
- Create a daily report of onsite activity for each jobsite visit
- Collaborate and coordinate with all job sites and team members
