This field-based position utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities to facilitate job functions during surgical procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative equipment management. The role involves providing clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment, anticipating the needs of Operating Room (OR) staff and surgeons, and troubleshooting/maintaining Stryker equipment and other related devices. The Specialist will work collaboratively with surgeons, OR personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and others. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base of equipment and disposable products through Stryker education programs is crucial. The role also includes providing physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current products, accurately recording and reporting data metrics, and maintaining account information to ensure high service levels, including vendor credentialing. Adherence to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures, including HIPAA, is required. The position may require support and coverage on all shifts at the assigned account, as well as other accounts in and outside the region, potentially including on-call duties, overnights, and weekends, with possible overnight travel. Assigned shifts may change without notice based on business needs, including rotating shifts.
