Onsite Shift Lead
About The Position
The Onsite Shift Lead ensures the safe and efficient operation of the onsite by-product management system at the facility. The role assists with developing and implementing processes and logistics for onsite waste and recycling, maintains professional daily interactions with client associates and responds to service requests. The Shift Lead may also support other projects designated by the Program Manager to strengthen client relationships. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. The role oversees onsite operations and assigned employees, completes operational records, communicates with the client and the Envita team, and helps implement and educate others on waste, reuse, and recycling programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic business writing and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
- Ability to remain alert and work safely.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of lead experience in onsite labor productivity.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Follow health and safety policies and processes and act safely at all times.
- Conduct daily operational and equipment inspections.
- Oversee daily sorting, handling, and processing of plant by-products.
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of employees assigned to the operation.
- Complete waste-tracking forms and activity reports daily.
- Interact professionally with supplier subcontractors and all members of the client's workforce.
- Assist with implementing new processes, including training and auditing assigned employees.
- Communicate effectively with the client and the Envita team.
- Assist and educate client employees on waste, reuse, and recycling programs.
- Assist the Program with MRO and business development opportunities as assigned by the manager.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
