About The Position

The Onsite Material Handler collects, moves, sorts, and processes waste and by-products in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The work must be performed safely and in accordance with company, federal, state, and local regulations. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Ability to understand general industry practices.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Basic knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow company health and safety policies and processes, maintaining safety as the number one goal.
• Load and unload solid and liquid waste and recyclables safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork trucks with attachments, and other handling equipment to move materials to and from trucks and within the facility.
• Operate equipment used to process materials, including balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers.
• Sort materials according to established guidelines for additional processing.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Apply knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform additional assigned duties and continue developing in alignment with company core values, competencies, and skills.
