About The Position

The Onsite Maintenance Technician will work in partnership with the Customer, management team, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience. Requirements

  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced computer knowledge (WIN/Mac).
  • Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standard.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required.
  • Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders, lifting equipment, tools, and materials.
  • White Glove Service: Demonstrated ability to provide high-level support to director-level executives and above in a corporate setting, ensuring smooth and professional AV experiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills across various AV and networking systems, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues.
  • Customer Service: Committed to delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on meeting the needs of corporate clients and stakeholders.
  • Logitech: Proficient in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Logitech systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.
  • Extron Systems : Extensive experience with deployments, integration, and troubleshooting of Extron NAV and associated S/W.
  • Cisco Systems : Proficient in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco Systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.
  • Networking: Skilled in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting networked devices, with experience in LAN/WAN and VLans.
  • Logitech, Poly, Biamp, Cisco, Extron NAV experience
  • UC Platforms - Teams, Zoom, Webex
  • Tricaster switcher, 3-4 PTZ Cameras, Audio console, and DMX Lighting
  • Video wall experience (Planar, Christie, Barco, Samsung, Daktronics)

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Preferred external training: AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
  • Preferred external training: Crestron Professional Installation
  • Preferred external training: Extron AV Associate Certification
  • Preferred external training: AVIXA Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry
  • Preferred external training: AVIXA CTS General Certification

Responsibilities

  • Setup and breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to help maintain customer spaces including but not limited to: ensuring that all technology works as designed and testing/repairing various hardware components
  • Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses, monitors and equipment fans.
  • Responsible for job site documentation and providing client training on the AV Technology as needed
  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: meeting support, installing non-complex AV components, and video/audio recording support where applicable
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL
  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties
  • Setup, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems
  • Travel to various client offices sites as required
