About The Position

LabCorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join their team in LaPorte, Indiana. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating with client office staff, troubleshooting customer and specimen issues, meeting production goals, and accurately entering patient information. The position also includes labeling specimens, packing and shipping them, and performing special services like spinning, freezing, and splitting specimens as needed. The Hospital Reference Test Clerk will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of their client offices.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or production or manufacturing
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.
