About The Position

EquipNet helps the world’s largest manufacturers manage surplus capital equipment. Our programs enable clients to identify, track, redeploy, and sell laboratory instruments and manufacturing assets through the secondary market. This position is based in West Point, Pennsylvania, and requires regular travel to Rahway, New Jersey, as well as occasional travel to other locations throughout the United States. The Inventory Project Manager will support the client’s equipment management and inventory operations. Working closely with the client’s Asset Disposition Team, this person will play a key role in identifying, labeling, sorting, documenting, and coordinating the shipment of surplus laboratory equipment to EquipNet’s warehouses in Massachusetts. The successful candidate will also be part of EquipNet’s global Project Management team—a collaborative group that values initiative, teamwork, and reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized professional who has experience with inventory management and familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least three years of related inventory management experience involving laboratory, pharmaceutical, or similar equipment; or Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of comparable experience.
  • Familiarity with maintenance or inventory management systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work comfortably in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with scientists throughout the West Point facility and coordinate the removal of instruments identified as surplus.
  • Label assets and work with the client’s Asset Disposition Team and onsite union personnel to schedule their removal to a designated holding area.
  • Record inventory in both the client’s tracking software and EquipNet’s Asset Redeployment Management System (ARMS).
  • Coordinate weekly shipments with EquipNet’s logistics team and ensure inventory records are complete and accurate when trucks are loaded.
  • Track shipments and monitor the creation of equipment listings by the EquipNet warehouse team.
  • Support similar equipment management activities at other client locations throughout the United States.
  • Collaborate with the client and EquipNet teams to identify and implement process improvements.
