About The Position

The Onsite Housekeeping Supervisor serves as a key member of the hospitality team, overseeing daily housekeeping operations to maintain clean, organized, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas throughout the lodge. This hands-on position supervises and trains housekeeping staff, assigns and inspects work, manages linens and supplies, and ensures all areas consistently meet established cleanliness, health, safety, and guest-service standards.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, or related experience required
  • Previous supervisory, team-lead, or staff-training experience preferred
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, sanitation practices, and health and safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, motivate, and provide direction to team members
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to assign work, manage competing priorities, and maintain consistent service standards
  • Ability to inspect completed work and provide constructive coaching and feedback
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with a commitment to guest service
  • Ability to handle guest information and concerns with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to manage linens, housekeeping supplies, and inventory levels
  • Ability to safely use and train others in the use of cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, and solvents
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Basic recordkeeping and computer skills preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry the weight established for the position
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and tolerate exposure to cleaning products when proper safety procedures are followed
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
  • Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors).
  • Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff
  • Develop cleaning schedules and execution of duties by all housekeeping staff
  • Organizing and cleaning guest rooms and public areas
  • General cleaning of guest rooms
  • Make up guest beds
  • Take all linens and towels to be cleaned
  • Keep floors and carpets clean throughout the lodge and guest rooms
  • Maintain stock levels for towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so health standards are met
  • Clean rugs, carpets, furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampoos
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas
  • Work evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotating basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
