About The Position

The OnSite Environmental Technician II assists with collecting, identifying, packaging, and lab packing hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The role also includes administrative duties at the client site and spill response activities. The technician performs waste pickups throughout customer facilities, consolidates and bulks chemicals, packages and labels waste, and supports safe and compliant handling, sampling, loading, and unloading operations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of related experience.
Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Ability to use heavy and light equipment, such as a forklift and pallet jack.
Skill using hand and shop tools and instruments.
Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
A valid driver's license may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

Make waste pickups throughout a customer's facility.
Conduct chemical bulking and consolidation.
Package and label waste products to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
Participate in spill response at the customer's site as needed.
Operate forklifts or sweepers.
Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles.
Complete waste stream sampling and profiling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
