About The Position

Owatonna Online is a grade 4 - grade 12 online learning environment. The educator will ensure high levels of student learning through engaging, high-quality virtual teaching, serving as an innovative facilitator for students’ learning. This role involves collaborating with colleagues, families, and stakeholders to provide virtual support for students enrolled in the district's online school. The educator will build strong partnerships with adults supporting student learning and be responsive to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally. The position requires the educator to be a learner, problem solver, and engage in on-site professional development. The educator will provide IEP services for students and manage associated paperwork. Our online teachers can work remotely, with a few required on-site dates for workshops and staff development throughout the year.

Requirements

A valid MN K-12 Special Education Teaching license is required.
Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

Solid background in equity, technology, and ensuring all students learn at high levels.
Bilingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
Experience with Edgenuity and/or Pearson Connexus preferred.
