About The Position

The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Online Recruitment and Outreach Specialist in Boca Raton, FL. This position manages the prospective student lifecycle from initial inquiry through enrollment, utilizing CRM technology, data analytics, and targeted communication strategies to optimize conversion rates and enhance the student experience. Reporting to the Director of Online Enrollment and Student Success, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners to expand recruitment pipelines, strengthen community and workforce relationships, and support institutional enrollment goals.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management, preferably in online or adult learner populations.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, or similar) to manage prospective student pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication campaigns (email, SMS, or call campaigns) to support recruitment or engagement goals.
  • Experience in analyzing data and generating reports to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating or participating in recruitment events, outreach initiatives, or community engagement activities.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, or lead generation campaigns.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including transfer, adult, and non-traditional students.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategies to generate, nurture, and convert prospective student leads for FAU’s online programs.
  • Provides personalized guidance to prospective students regarding admissions requirements, program offerings, financial considerations, and student support services.
  • Supports the full enrollment funnel, including inquiry generation, application conversion, and enrollment yield.
  • Designs, executes, and refines multi-channel communication plans (email, SMS, phone, and chat) tailored to prospective student populations, including transfer, adult, and graduate learners.
  • Utilizes CRM systems to track engagement, segment audiences, automate communication workflows, and optimize conversion rates.
  • Conducts outreach campaigns and ensures timely, consistent follow-up with prospective students to support enrollment goals.
  • Analyzes recruitment data, campaign performance, and enrollment trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including lead volume, engagement rates, application conversion, and enrollment yield.
  • Uses insights to recommend and implement process improvements to enhance recruitment effectiveness.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with state colleges, employers, community organizations, and other strategic partners to expand recruitment pipelines.
  • Represents COCE at recruitment events, including college fairs, community events, employer outreach initiatives, and virtual information sessions.
  • Coordinates and delivers presentations on FAU’s online programs to prospective students, counselors, and external stakeholders.
  • Manages the strategic procurement, inventory, and distribution of branded promotional materials to enhance recruitment efforts, support marketing campaigns, and strengthen engagement with prospective and newly admitted online students.
  • Collaborates with marketing and communications teams to support digital recruitment initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and paid campaigns.
  • Enhances the prospective and newly admitted student experience through personalized engagement strategies and onboarding initiatives.
  • Coordinates welcome communications and initiatives, including distribution of branded materials and onboarding support (e.g., welcome packages, Owl ID coordination).
  • Refers students to appropriate university resources, including admissions, advising, and student success services.
  • Performs additional job-related responsibilities as needed to support the recruitment, enrollment, and success of online students.
