The Natick Public Schools seeks an Online Coordinator/Executive Functioning Tutor to start on 8/24/26. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Understanding of adolescent development
  • Understanding of best instructional practices
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student engagement and belonging
  • Demonstrated interest and experience working with students and technology
  • Experience working with students with disabilities/special abilities preferred
  • Experience working with students who are English language learners preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.) and PowerSchool preferred, but will train the right candidate
  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
  • Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese, are highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Works with district and school leadership to combat systemic barriers that limit student, family, and staff members’ equitable access to opportunity.
  • Ensure that each student is progressing within the curriculum by producing weekly/biweekly detailed reports on student’s progress.
  • Be prepared to assist students with individual questions to help clarify information that is being presented.
  • Be able to understand MCAS results in order to individualize MCAS curriculum based on student’s performance.
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records and posting student grades.
  • Establishes an effective working relationship with classroom teachers, specialists, and administration.
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certified teachers.
  • Makes parents and guidance counselors aware of student progress.
  • Identifies and addresses bias and its impact on rigor and opportunity for students.
  • Administer a screener/informal assessment tool to appropriate students and/or train classroom teachers to deliver the assessment.
  • Provide targeted Executive Functioning instruction during an RTI block with lesson planning and on-going progress monitoring through goal attainment plan.
  • Collaborate with teaching team to determine students skill deficits in the areas of Executive Functioning.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, school counselors, and related service providers to identify student needs and align interventions with classroom expectations.
  • Participate in team meetings, student support meetings, and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) discussions as appropriate.
  • Any other duties assigned.
